Kelly came to live with us as a four year old. She was offered to us as on a co-ownership with her breeder. The breeder and Linda went to Oregon to pick her up from the current owner on a weekend. Upon arriving home, I wondered, "what have I done"? She was afraid of her own shadow. For the first week we had to catch her whenever we would want her for something. With some time and patience, I was able to complete the breeder's wish of gaining that Championship. She only needed a major when she came to live at Sinkona. Tanya and I both trained and worked with her. She earned a PT title and than a HSAd title. Kelly is "crazy", she gets so "up" that she can hardly control herself in whatever she does. She is a challenge to train, not because she isn't willing, but because she has the dog equivalent of ADD (Attention Deficient Disorder) and gets wildly excited about everything. Kelly settled in and is enjoying retirement with her sister "Taffy". It is hard to imagine not having her around for her antics and attitude. You would never believe that she is the same dog that I brought home that weekend many years ago.
