Once upon a time...

A litter was planned - a big chance to take - a homebred smooth Champion tri smooth to a smooth blue Champion in California. The desire for this litter was to produce a smooth blue bitch that would do well in the breed ring and also love performance. The day arrived that puppies were born; there was two blue bitches, one smooth and one rough. That litter was my "dream litter". Not only did it provide us with "CJ", it also produced her CH smooth tri brother ("Archer"), and a CH rough blue brother ("Walker)" and another two puppies that would have done well in the breed ring but are in pet homes. In all there were 7 puppies in the litter.

CJ loves to show and be groomed (except for baths and toenails). She started her show career on the day she turned 6 months old as winner's bitch and easily earned her Championship at 11 ½ months. She loves the attention that she gets in the ring and has done very well the few times I have had her out as a Special. She earned her Pre-Trial Tested on sheep in her first two events and she completed her VA by earning her Novice Agility Preferred title in her first three trails under the age of 2. She will continue on to do more as she loves herding, agility and spending the time with me in training and running.

I wanted a "special blue smooth bitch" and was granted that. She reminds me of both her mother and grandmother, however she is more "biddable" to training than her mother and has much of the intelligence and ways of her grandmother. Sierra lives on in this bitch and I believe "whispers" things in her ear to earn her a deeper place in my heart. After I lost Sierra, I was not going to let my heart be as broken, but Sierra said; "Hey, here is a present with both my daughter and my presence wrapped up in one"! She has been a "special gift" to me from her mother and grandmother.
